Ant Group’s Secret Flow Goes Open Source

Online privacy is non-existent nowadays as multiple entities keep an eye on user’s activities on the Web. It could be government, ad agencies, hackers or any other entity. The bottom line is, there is no privacy anymore, and people are not happy about it. They want to be online without the fear of being watched 24/7. However, in the current climate, it is near impossible to wish for such a basic right. Fortunately, all hope is not lost as there are still multiple ways to increase your online privacy. We have outlined the best of them below.

Use VPNs

VPNs are hugely underrated in this regard. This is largely due to poor marketing from VPNs themselves. Most people only use them to access blocked sites or to gain access to torrent sites. But in reality, VPNs can do so much more. Take FalcoVPN for example; it is a completely free VPN tool and with its help, you can easily hide your IP address and switch your server. If a free app is offering you this much, then you can guess how reliable and extraordinary paid options like VyprVPN and ExpressVPN could be. These paid VPNs also hide your IP and servers, and they are not limited in any way. They have a plethora of servers available around the globe for you to switch to, which means a bunch of IPs you can hide behind. In addition to that, they offer multiple security protocols that keep you safe from online threats as well. So just by seeking help from a VPN, you will be able to increase your overall online security and will be able to browse the internet privately.

Use HTTPs

A couple of browsers have integrated HTTPs into their algorithm. It is now used excessively. However, there are still some browsers which do not offer this and use the old algorithm of HTTP. Old HTTP is not quite effective these days as there are a lot of ways to work things around it. However, HTTPs is still a very secure and gives you the privacy to hide your browsing activity from your ISP. They can still see that you are on some sort of website, but they cannot be certain of what exactly you are doing. S in HTTPs stands for secure and that is exactly what it does — keeps you secure from the prying eyes.

Use Tor browser

Tor is a free and open source browser that has been designed specifically for people who crave privacy. It routes each of your activities through different encrypted channels hence keeping it hidden from the prying eyes. Google Chrome and Firefox do support HTTPs, but some websites have found a way around it. However, with Tor at your disposal, you will not have to worry about a thing as this web browser provides you with complete anonymity.

Getting just one of these will only increase your overall privacy. However, if you combine all three of them, you will be able to reach at an advanced privacy stage. Get Tor browser, use HTTPs, and download a free VPN like FalcoVPN. Thereafter, you just need to enable the VPN, open Tor browser and then visit a website you want with HTTPs enabled. This is the best combo and will help you keep your privacy at all times.

  1. Excellent Article Nathan Bachman, you described the issue flawlessly and provide the solution.
But i will disagree with a line mentioned in the blog “You said use https with tor browser and a free vpn” i would say free vpn doesn’t provide complete security. As a tech geek i know a lot about these top vpn brands. I would say people should buy a paid vpn to get secured. In my case i am using ivacy for security and streaming.
