AI-driven threat defense

AI-driven threat defense analyzes billions of machine events, seamlessly integrating with existing security solutions to enhance detection, accelerate response, and minimize risks for Microsoft Security users.

OpenText has announced the general availability of OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response alongside Cloud Editions 25.2. This new AI-powered cybersecurity solution enhances enterprises’ ability to detect and mitigate threats before they cause harm.

As cyber threats become more sophisticated, OpenText continues to strengthen its security offerings, helping organizations defend against both external attacks and insider threats. OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response is designed to work seamlessly with Microsoft Azure, integrating with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Security Copilot. Additionally, OpenText’s Threat Integration Studio enables organizations to ingest telemetry from various network solutions, security tools, and enterprise applications into a unified detection framework.

The OpenText Cybersecurity Cloud addresses diverse security challenges, including application and data protection, identity and access management, security operations, and digital forensics. With over 7,500 global enterprise customers, OpenText is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge security solutions.

Tackling Insider Threats and Cybersecurity Gaps

While external cyberattacks remain a major concern, insider threats—whether malicious, accidental, or due to stolen credentials—pose a growing risk. According to the 2023 Cost of Insider Risks Global Report, insider-related incidents cost organizations an average of $16.2 million annually. The ongoing cybersecurity talent shortage has further complicated security operations, increasing the need for automated, AI-driven detection tools.
