Engineering leader to drive technological advancements as company enters next growth phase
iXsystems, the driving force behind TrueNAS Open Storage, announces the appointment of Patrick Keane as its Vice President of Engineering, effective October 17, 2023. This move signifies a significant step forward for the TrueNAS technology and the company’s continued expansion in the market.
With over two decades of diverse technical leadership experience, Keane is uniquely positioned to spearhead the company’s evolution. His track record spans various industries, including direct marketing, telecommunications, broadcast media, medicine, data visualisation, and high-performance computing. He has a history of delivering enterprise storage solutions, having previously led engineering teams at renowned organisations such as NetApp and, most recently, serving as Vice President of Engineering at Panasas, Inc.

Patrick Keane holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and an MBA from Wilkes University, along with a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
