Leading open source integration provider WSO2 and Microsoft have declared a strategic alliance to distribute cloud-native solutions for securely distributing APIs, apps, and digital identities to regions all over the world via Microsoft Azure. The integration vendor will choose Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud platform as a result of the partnership. WSO2’s products and solutions are used by more than 800 clients in over 90 countries, including government agencies and major players in the financial services, communications, healthcare, and technology industries. The collaboration will hasten the launch of the Asgardeo identification as a service (iDaaS) and the Choreo digital platform as a service (digital PaaS), assisting enterprise customers from various markets and industries in accelerating their cloud adoption initiatives.
By developing and deploying services, integrations, and APIs, Choreo enables enterprises to quickly provide new digital experiences. The comprehensive platform removes the complexities of cloud native infrastructure, enabling development teams to produce API-driven business logic fast and efficiently. Any developer can incorporate Asgardeo’s customer identity and access management into their applications. To offer a safe, individualised digital experience, it blends conventional Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts for employees with consumer credential security.
With market-leading, cloud-native and open-source tools for API management, integration, and customer identity and access management, WSO2 has been fulfilling its objective to democratise the development of contemporary applications and services since 2005. (CIAM). With a new generation of platform-as-a-service solutions, the firm is now building on these products to further accelerate customers’ time to market and capacity for innovation.
WSO2 recently received US$93 million in growth capital from RedStart Labs, a subsidiary of Info Edge Limited, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The firm is making investments to speed up global business expansion, strengthen its global partner and support network, and enhance the capabilities of its key open-source solutions for API administration and customer identity and access management (WSO2 Identity Server).
“Developers are the catalyst to innovation that disrupts countless industries and help businesses transform and thrive!” said Diomedes Kastanis, Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft Asia Pacific. “It’s about creating the right environment and removing the friction so developers do what they know best: innovate. Our partnership with WSO2 will help accelerate cloud-based digital transformation and enable developers to increase their speed of innovation.”
The Azure Marketplace presence, customer events, demand generation, sales enablement, and co-selling activities are just a few of the go-to-market and co-selling initiatives that WSO2 and Microsoft are dedicated to. The businesses will also work to expand the community and capabilities surrounding Ballerina, an open-source language created by WSO2 that significantly streamlines the creation and deployment of cloud-native applications.
