Payara Services has unveiled the release of its latest open source platform called Payara Platform 5.201. It consists of five new features, 12 improvements, 21 component upgrades, and 31 bug fixes. It includes an extended and updated version of the existing monitoring console, request tracing cluster configuration, and a technical preview of the data grid encryption feature.
Steve Millidge, founder of Payara said, “Once again the Payara team have delivered an excellent release of the Payara Platform with leading-edge security, monitoring and encryption capabilities. Payara Platform 201 is the community foundation of our Payara Enterprise product. Going forward we will be delivering further rapid innovation in Jakarta EE and MicroProfile within the Payara Platform.”
Sync the stability and community streams
The company said that Payara Platform 5.201 is the first release of 2020 and it will sync the stability and community streams. The stability stream incorporates the features that have been tested and are ready for production environments. It will form the basis of development for Payara Platform Enterprise for the coming year.
This platform comes two years after the release of the original Payara Platform 5. The company has put the Payara Platform Enterprise on a monthly release schedule for customers and a quarterly release schedule for the community.
