- The software is in public beta mode and free for any early adopter presently
- It also plans to integrate additional open source Kubernetes auditing tools to the Insights platform
According to a report by Busineeswire, cloud-native infrastructure solutions provider, Fairwinds has launched open-source software- as- a- service (SaaS) platform called Fairwinds Insights for DevOps teams that manage multiple Kubernetes clusters and require visibility into potential problems before they occur.
Public beta mode
Presently, Fairwinds Insights is in public beta mode and free for any early adopter who wants to try the software during the beta period. The platform uses an extensible architecture to launch a set of open source security, reliability, and auditing tools as per the report. The suite, as of now, consists of Fairwinds Polaris, Fairwinds Goldilocks, and Aqua Security’s Kube-hunter.
The company says the platform solves problems faced by DevOps teams like eliminating the time-intensive process of researching, learning and deploying the available Kubernetes auditing tools. It also automatically organises and normalises data from each tool enabling engineers get prioritised recommendations across all clusters as per Fairwinds.
From development to production
Lastly, through this platform, DevOps teams can proactively manage the hand-off from development to production. The platform can integrate into deployment pipelines to identify misconfigurations and fix them before releasing to production.
The company also plans to integrate additional open source Kubernetes auditing tools to the Insights platform. Through its Integration Partnership Program, maintainers of open source will be able to integrate with Fairwinds Insights as per Fairwinds.
