This technology is expected to play a major role in building Huawei’s own operating system reportedly called ‘Hongmeng’
As announced earlier, Chinese tech giant Huawei has finally released the source code of its Android compiler.
Earlier this year, Huawei unveiled Ark compiler to make Android App compilation more fluent.
By open sourcing the compiler, Huawei wants to nourish the development ecosystem, which can play a significant role in the growth of Huawei’s upcoming operating system (OS).
While the Chinese electronics maker did not reveal any information, industry analysts believe that the company may be using Ark Compiler as a foundation of its own operating system reportedly called ‘Hongmeng’.
Android system efficiency
According to Huawei, Ark compiler can improve Android system operation fluency by 24 percent, response speed by 44 percent, and the smoothness of the third-party application up to 60 percent.
Launched in April this year, Ark Compiler is currently installed in Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, Honor 20, 20 Pro, Honor View 20 and some other devices.
Huawei is planning to roll out an update for Honor Magic 2 as well as other devices.
Further information on the ARK Compiler is likely to be released during the Huawei Developer Conference 2019.
