Dell has launched a new workstation all-in-one (AiO) desktop optimised for Linux distributions — mainly Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Called Dell Precision Workstation AIO 5720, the new desktop computer comes with top-of-the-line hardware.

The Dell Precision 5720 is powered by a seventh-generation Intel i5 7500 chip that comes with quad-core 3.4GHz and 3.8GHz turbo processor. The machine comes 8GB of RAM that can be expanded up to 64GB. Additionally, Dell has included an M.2 PCIe SSD and 2.5-inch SATA drive for storage.

You can choose between AMD and NVIDIA graphics as an option. However, the entry-level variant comes with an AMD Radeon Pro WX 4150 graphics card and 4GB of RAM.

Dell has provided options to choose between Ubuntu 16.04.02 LTS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux WorkStation 7.3.

Further, the powerful Precision 5720 includes a 4K 27-inch display and a bunch of connectivity options. The machine has five USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, SIM card slot, SD card slot, Gigabit Ethernet, Qualcomm QCA61x4A 2×2 801.11ac WiFi adapter and Bluetooth 4.1 chipset.

The base price of Precision 5720 starts from $1699 in the US. At this price point, the Dell Precision AIO 5720 seems to be a no expenses-spared workstation option.
