Skype Linux 1.12 Alpha release

Microsoft has released Skype 1.12 as a new update for Linux systems. The latest release is still available through the alpha channel but includes few noteworthy changes to deliver an improved chatting experience on the open source platform.

One of the biggest features that Skype 1.12 has brought to Linux is “hostless” group calling support. This tweak allows Skype users to continue their group calls even when the host leaves.

Additionally, the Skype team has improved authentication process when users switch to Microsoft Account. The update also includes various bug fixes and performance improvements to enhance the experience.

You can download the updated Skype for Linux package by visiting its official website. The alpha release is available in both DEB and RPM formats.
