Weeks after its beta release, 4MLinux 19.0 has finally reached to its stable build. The updated Linux distro comes preloaded with the recent open source software packages such as LibreOffice and GIMP.
The latest 4MLinux version includes LibreOffice 5.2.1.2 and GIMP 2.8.18. Also, there is DropBox 7.4.30 to let you easily store your data in the cloud.
For browsing the web, the Linux distro has Firefox 48.0.2 and Chromium 52.0.2743.116. Besides, the platform has Skype 4.3.0.37, Thunderbird 45.3.0, Audacious 3.7.2, aTunes 3.1.2, MPlayer SVN-r37870, VLC 2.2.4 and Mesa 11.2.2/Wine 1.9.16.
You can setup the 4MLinux LAMP Server with Linux 4.4.14, Apache 2.4.23, MariaDB 10.1.16 and PHP 5.6.25. Additionally, there are Perl 5.22.2 and Python 2.7.11 to let you continue some of your development work.
The new 4MLinux version includes Fuse (ZX Spectrum emulator) and an option to access Double Commander. Users also get some additional options to control the X.Org Server as well as improved support for the MP2 format through TwoLAME and SoX.
32-bit 4MLinux 19.0 is now available for download via SourceForge. It comes as a Live ISO image and allows you to install its presence on your system even through a USB drive or a compact disc.
