Ubuntu 17.04 Zesty Zapus

Canonical has skipped the first scheduled alpha for Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) due to holiday season and is now set to release the second and only alpha version. This single alpha build of the upcoming Ubuntu update will be released on January 26.

The single alpha will be released only for opt-in flavors. Following its arrival, Canonical will work on beta releases. The beta 1 for the Zesty Zapus will be debuted on February 23, whereas its second and final beta version is scheduled for March 23.

Alongside developing alpha and beta releases for early testers, Canonical’s team is tracking the development of Linux 4.10 kernel. It is expected to be available through the final stable release of Ubuntu 17.04.

The final release of Ubuntu 17.04 will be available on April 13. It would come with features such as driverless printing to deliver an advanced experience.
