While GitHub is already the first choice for developers around the world, Amrut Software is bringing the same online repository platform to businesses and startups in India. The Mumbai-based end-to-end software and BPO service and solutions provider has partnered with GitHub as its official distributor in the country.

Amrut is selling and supporting the Github.com and GitHub Enterprise offerings for its Indian customers. There are options such as communication, feedback delivery and faster software shipments for enterprise clients. Also, the company is providing tools like chat apps and integration services alongside the online repository.

GitHub is already leading the world of Git repositories with over 14 million users as of April this year. Though it is well-known for providing free distributed version control and source code management, it also has plans for private repositories. Amrut is leveraging that model to serve customers.

Apart from serving GitHub to enterprises, Amrut has customisable services for Jira and Nagios. These developments are considered to help customers reuse their existing investments.
